Druids can level viably with any of 3 different talent builds. You can opt for a balance spec and deal ranged damage while still having the option to heal. If you don’t mind being relatively weak solo, you can level by healing groups as a restoration build. Finally, you have the option of picking a feral druid leveling build. This lets you have the option of tanking for groups, while still being able to solo very well.

Every druid leveling guide out there recommends a feral build for a good reason. You max out your damage and survivability, take on a much-needed group role, and you can still solo easily. The only role you might have difficulty filling is that of the healer, and even that can be done in a pinch if you have the gear for it. Give it a try.
